Bandwidth Upgrades

On any Server Trafficweb server you can add higher uplinks and bigger transfer allowances — from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps and unmetered options across our multi-homed Tier-1 network.

Add the bandwidth your server actually needs

The Bandwidth Upgrades package is what you add to your existing streaming server, IPTV server, dedicated server or VOD server when the workload starts to push more outbound traffic than the default 1 Gbps uplink can carry. Live streams, IPTV panels, software mirrors and busy APIs all share one signature: the CPU looks fine while the network counters quietly red-line. Once you recognise that pattern, the answer is almost always a bigger uplink, a larger monthly transfer allowance, or both.

Server Trafficweb makes this easy. Upgrade options scale from the default 1 Gbps up to dedicated 5 Gbps and 10 Gbps – 80 GE interfaces, with unmetered transfer available on most plans. Whatever you currently run, we can almost always upgrade in place — no rebuild, no migration, no new chassis. The new bandwidth sits on the same server, the same operating system and the same applications you already trust; only the outbound capacity changes.

Raw bandwidth numbers alone are not enough though. A 10 Gbps uplink running over a single mediocre carrier can still feel slow to half your audience. Our network is multi-homed across Tier-1 carriers — NTT, Cogent, Telia, Arelion, GTT and others — so the upgraded bandwidth delivers consistently low latency to viewers in Western Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia. AMS-IX peering in the Netherlands and DTAG-grade backbone in Ukraine give the upgraded pipe path quality, not just headline numbers.

The benefits compound when you pair bandwidth upgrades with related services. Layer a CDN in front to keep origin load light and global delivery fast. Add DDoS protection so attackers cannot saturate the new pipe with junk traffic. Combine with Monitoring and Reporting to track utilisation, latency and packet loss in real time. The result is an outbound capacity layer that scales smoothly with audience growth rather than painfully when the next launch goes viral.

Why choose us

Key Benefits

Uplinks from 1 to 10 Gbps

Move from the default 1 Gbps to 5 Gbps or dedicated 10 Gbps – 80 GE as your audience grows. Higher capacities are available on request for very large operations.

Unmetered transfer options

Plans with unmetered outbound traffic remove the monthly cap anxiety for streaming, IPTV, downloads and mirror services that never go quiet.

Premium Tier-1 routes

NTT, Cogent, Telia, Arelion and other Tier-1 carriers blended together so the extra bandwidth actually delivers low latency globally — not just a bigger headline number.

AMS-IX and DTAG peering

Dense peering in Amsterdam and DTAG-grade upstream in Ukraine give the upgraded pipe path quality to a global audience, not just continental reach.

Burstable when you need it

Spikes above the committed rate are absorbed smoothly so flash events, software-release days and viral content do not turn into throttling incidents.

Zero protocol throttling

We do not shape streaming, downloads or any other heavy traffic. The bandwidth you buy is the bandwidth you get — no carrier-grade traffic engineering against you.

Pairs with DDoS and CDN

DDoS mitigation absorbs attack volume separately so it never consumes your committed pipe. A CDN moves cacheable load to the edge so origin bandwidth lasts longer.

Cross-data-centre options

Run a high-bandwidth origin in Netherlands and a backup in Ukraine. Replicate over a private path so cross-site replication does not eat into customer-facing bandwidth.

Use cases

Built for real workloads

Live streaming events

Spike to thousands of concurrent viewers during a launch or live event without the uplink saturating mid-broadcast and ruining the experience.

IPTV panel growth

Add channels and concurrent viewers to an Xtream Codes or alternative IPTV panel without rebuilding the server underneath.

Software downloads and mirrors

Serve large binary downloads, game updates and OS mirrors with predictable, generous monthly transfer that does not require constant capacity management.

High-traffic APIs

When response sizes are large or call volume is high, the bottleneck shifts from CPU to network. Bandwidth upgrades keep p95 latency low under sustained load.

Multi-region replication

Replicate databases, media or backups between our Netherlands and Ukraine facilities at high speed without competing with customer-facing traffic.

How it works

Simple. Predictable. Powerful.

1

Review current utilisation

We pull recent traffic graphs from your server to confirm where you actually saturate and recommend the right uplink class and transfer allowance.

2

Sign off the plan

You approve the new uplink, transfer commitment, peering preferences and any associated changes (NIC upgrade, switch port move) before we touch anything.

3

Apply the upgrade

Most bandwidth upgrades happen without service interruption. Uplink class changes (e.g. 1 Gbps → 10 Gbps interface) may need a short scheduled window.

4

Verify route quality

After cutover we validate line rate, route quality and latency from sample regions so you know the upgrade is genuinely live, not just on paper.

5

Track headroom over time

Combine with Monitoring to track utilisation, packet loss and latency continuously, with alerts before the new ceiling becomes a problem.

FAQ'S

Frequently asked questions

Detailed answers to the questions our customers ask most often about this service.

Which servers can I add bandwidth to?
Any plan: dedicated, VPS, streaming, IPTV, cloud and RDP. Upgrades typically happen in place without migration.
Can I get unmetered bandwidth?
Yes — unmetered options are available on most dedicated, streaming and IPTV plans. Pricing and availability depend on the uplink class and data centre; we will confirm specifics for your setup.
How high can the uplink go?
Standard uplinks scale up to 10 Gbps. With dedicated 80 GE interfaces we deliver consistent multi-Gbps sustained throughput. Higher capacities are available on request for very large operations.
Will upgrading cause downtime?
Most upgrades apply without service interruption. Changes that require swapping NICs or switch ports (e.g. moving to a dedicated 10 Gbps interface) may need a short scheduled window — we coordinate with you.
Do you shape or throttle traffic?
No. Our network is built for high-throughput workloads — streaming, IPTV, downloads, mirrors — and we do not shape compliant traffic. The bandwidth you buy is the bandwidth you get.
How does this interact with DDoS protection?
They work in parallel. DDoS protection absorbs attack volume in a separate scrubbing path so it never consumes your committed bandwidth — your real traffic keeps flowing.
