Performance Add-Ons

On any Server Trafficweb plan you can add CPU cores, memory, NVMe storage and expert tuning — squeeze measurable speed from the server you already trust, without painful migrations.

Add real performance to the server you already run

The Performance Add-Ons package is what you attach to your existing offshore dedicated server, VPS or cloud instance when the workload starts feeling tight but the server is otherwise great. Slow API responses, longer build times, database queries that used to fly now creeping — these are the everyday signals that the box needs more cores, more memory, faster storage or smarter tuning. Instead of migrating to a new chassis, you add what is actually missing and keep everything else as it is.

The wins come in three flavours, and you can mix and match them. More cores help build pipelines, parallel workers, video transcoders and concurrent API handlers complete jobs faster — the difference between a CI pipeline that holds up shipping and one that quietly hums along in the background. More RAM turns disk pressure into cache hits: bigger MySQL or PostgreSQL buffer pools, larger Redis sets, larger application caches, fewer trips to disk during search and aggregation. NVMe storage is where the dramatic before-and-after charts live — swapping SATA SSDs for NVMe routinely delivers 5–20× the IOPS for database, queue and search workloads.

On top of the hardware, you get expert tuning — small changes by engineers who do this every day. Kernel settings (file descriptors, network buffers, I/O scheduler), filesystem layout (XFS vs ext4, mount options, journal placement), application configuration (connection pools, worker counts, JVM heap, MySQL InnoDB settings). Individually each tweak is small. Together they routinely produce double-digit-percent wins on real workloads — wins you would never see by just throwing bigger hardware at a software-shaped problem.

We treat every performance upgrade as a small engagement, not a checkout flow. Our team reviews monitoring data, profiles the workload, identifies the actual bottleneck and then proposes the right combination of hardware and configuration changes. After the upgrade we re-measure to confirm the gain matched expectations. The result is an upgrade that genuinely moves the needle, not a hopeful spec bump. Pair this add-on with Monitoring and Reporting so you can see exactly which resource is the limit before you spend a euro.

Why choose us

Key Benefits

Extra CPU cores in-place

Add cores to your existing chassis so build pipelines, video transcoders and parallel workers finish faster — no re-architecture, no migration headaches.

More RAM for caches

Bigger memory means bigger MySQL buffer pools, larger Redis sets and fewer disk hits. Often the single best upgrade for database-heavy applications.

NVMe storage upgrades

Replace SATA SSDs with NVMe for 5–20× the IOPS on database, search and queue workloads. The difference shows up immediately in p99 latency.

Expert kernel tuning

Our engineers tune file descriptors, network buffers, scheduler choices and other knobs that compound into double-digit-percent gains on real traffic.

Application-level tuning

Connection pools, worker counts, JVM heap, MySQL InnoDB settings — tuning the application config often beats throwing bigger hardware at the problem.

Minimal scheduled downtime

Many upgrades (additional RAM, hot-swap NVMe) happen with zero downtime. Larger swaps need a short window — scheduled at your convenience.

Works across plans

Applies to dedicated, VPS, RDP and cloud workloads — wherever you already run, we can usually upgrade in place rather than migrate.

Measured, validated gains

After every upgrade we re-measure the workload to confirm the improvement is real and matches what we promised. No "should be faster" — actual numbers.

Use cases

Built for real workloads

Database-heavy applications

Swap SATA for NVMe and add RAM so MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or Redis stop being the bottleneck. p99 latency drops and throughput climbs immediately.

Build and CI pipelines

More cores cut compile and test times so engineering teams ship faster — and CI stops being the reason releases miss the window.

Media transcoding queues

Add CPU and NVMe so FFmpeg pipelines and transcoder queues chew through video without falling behind during traffic peaks.

Search and analytics

Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, ClickHouse and similar systems live on memory and IOPS. Performance Add-Ons target both at once for dramatic wins.

High-traffic APIs

Bigger caches plus tuned connection pools and worker counts keep response times low even when traffic doubles or triples overnight.

How it works

Simple. Predictable. Powerful.

1

Workload review

Tell us what is feeling slow. We pull metrics from your monitoring and profile the workload to confirm where the real bottleneck lives.

2

Targeted recommendation

We propose the right combination of CPU, RAM, NVMe and config tuning to address the actual bottleneck, with expected impact for each piece.

3

Sign-off and schedule

You approve the plan and timing. Hot-swap upgrades happen seamlessly; chassis-impacting swaps are scheduled during a short window you choose.

4

Apply and tune

Hardware is upgraded and configuration is tuned in one pass. Our engineers stay engaged until the new setup is stable and ready for traffic.

5

Validate the gain

After traffic settles, we re-measure latency, throughput and resource use and share a before/after report so the upgrade is provably worth it.

FAQ'S

Frequently asked questions

Detailed answers to the questions our customers ask most often about this service.

Can I upgrade without downtime?
Many upgrades are seamless: additional RAM in supported chassis, NVMe added in hot-swap slots, and config tuning with rolling restarts. Larger swaps need a short reboot — scheduled at your convenience.
How much does NVMe actually help?
For IOPS-bound workloads (databases, queues, search), NVMe routinely delivers 5–20× the throughput of SATA SSDs. Sequential workloads see smaller but still meaningful gains. Our team confirms the upside before recommending it.
Do you help diagnose performance issues?
Yes — our engineers profile real workloads, identify the actual bottleneck and recommend the right upgrade rather than blindly throwing hardware at what might actually be a software problem.
Is tuning included or extra?
Basic OS and application tuning is included with most upgrades. Deep custom tuning (heavy MySQL or JVM work, complex stack rebalancing) is offered as a small consulting engagement at competitive rates.
Does this work on VPS too?
Yes — vertical resizes on our offshore VPS and cloud server are quick and seamless. For very large jumps we may suggest moving to a dedicated server.
How is this different from Server Hardware Upgrades?
They overlap. Server Hardware Upgrades focus on component-level swaps in your existing chassis. Performance Add-Ons combine hardware upgrades with expert tuning to target a workload bottleneck end to end.
